There’s something very special about returning to a workplace where your career began, this time in a completely different role.
It started back in 2019 when I worked as a receptionist at Stay Tuned Sports Medicine while studying to become an osteopath. Since graduating, I’ve spent more than five years working as an osteopath across a variety of clinical settings, developing my skills, learning from those around me and growing into the practitioner I am today.
Coming back to Stay Tuned feels like a bit of a full-circle moment.
One of the biggest things that drew me back was the team environment. I’ve always valued being surrounded by practitioners who genuinely enjoy working together, sharing knowledge and supporting one another. Stay Tuned is a workplace that encourages continued learning and development while still allowing each practitioner to bring their own experience and approach to patient care. Being an osteopath can be quite independent at times, so having a strong team around you makes such a difference, both professionally and personally.
Lots of workplaces have values written somewhere, but I think Stay Tuned’s motto, “Everybody Deserves To Feel Good,” is genuinely reflected in the way people are treated here. You can walk through the doors as an elite athlete or an office worker and receive the same respect, encouragement and support to get better and feel good.
In my experience, the same applies to the people working here. You can walk through the doors as a uni student finding your feet or as an experienced practitioner and still feel like an equally valued part of the team. Having experienced that myself at two very different stages of my career, it means a lot to be coming back.
Elwood Village also deserves a mention. I’ve always loved the community feel of the area and I’m so excited to get to know the local patients and businesses again. I’m really looking forward to bringing the experience I’ve gained over the past 5 years back to the community.
I’m very grateful to be back and really looking forward to this next chapter with my Stay Tuned family, this time on the other side of the reception desk.
