Here are some top tips for our Dietitian, Emma Morris:

  1. Treat yourself with a small portion and remember to eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.
  2. If you are at a party, try placing the salad or vegetables on your plate first as this will help control the portion of foods which are higher in calories.
  3. Drink plenty of water. This is especially important if you have been drinking alcohol.
  4. Try to maintain your exercise as this will burn off some of those extra calories that have been consumed over the day.
